This event is hosted by The University of Southern Mississippi’s Health is Golden program which is funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi. This is a health and fitness expo open to the general public and FREE to attend.
This Expo serves as the packet pickup location for Hattiesburg Clinic’s Rise & Shine Half-Marathon and 5K. This race benefits The Arc of Southeast Mississippi, a United Way non-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based services to individuals with mental challenges and their families. In addition, The Arc promotes and encourages the acceptance of those with mental disabilities by exposure to, and interaction with, people in our community. The organization provides these individuals with various opportunities that enable a wholesome quality of life by improving their physical, mental, and spiritual health. Find out more about The Arc at www.hattiesburgarc.com.
Expo attendees will get to meet staff and members from The Arc, enjoy their interactive performances, and buy pottery made by members.
Attendees will also enjoy visiting with other exhibitors, as they showcase the latest in health, fitness and wellness, including running and fitness apparel, health and nutrition, and ideas for keeping the entire family healthy. Expo attendees can enter to win door prizes, shop for health and fitness products, take part in pre-race photo opportunities and get any last-minute race essentials and information.
